The Journey Race Series, Benefiting the MMRF
The Journey Towards A Cure 12 Hour Endurance Run/Relay and cancer research fundraiser will be held in the unique picturesque setting of Randall’s Island Park, NYC on October 3, 2020. You can run or walk as many miles as possible as a solo runner or part of a relay team in 12 hours or you can participate by completing any number of laps of your choosing . The flat 4 mile course navigates along the perimeter of the island, boasting incredible water and city views.

This format accommodates people with a range of abilities including walkers, runners and ultra-marathoners. The course provides the perfect setting for consistent access to our central aid station(s). This is a race and an opportunity for both individuals and teams to take on personal challenge and push yourselves beyond imagination.
The Journey Towards a Cure is a fundraiser with all proceeds benefiting the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, a 501(c)(3), whose mission is to accelerate treatments to extend lives in pursuit of a cure. The Journey has raised more than $1.3 million since inception to support the MMRF. We encourage all those who register to join our fundraising efforts and make a difference. As an incentive to all race participants, your race fee of will be eligible for refund or conversion to a tax deductible donation upon reaching the individual fundraising goal of $500. Each racer will receive their own personalized donation page upon registration.

Run for Randy Los Angeles
Lynn Miyamoto is the team captain of Run for Randy for our Los Angeles 5K Walk/ Run. Lynn is participating in honor of her brother in law, Randy Lim, who has multiple myeloma. Run for Randy fundraises to help fund important research for this disease which has personally affected their family. "We've see all the breakthroughs and advances in treatment since then so we know our efforts now will help many patients in the future."
Multiple MyeLlamas Philadelphia
Dave was diagnosed with myeloma in August of 2017. Dave and some of his closest friends formed the team Multiple MyeLlamas for the Philadelphia 5K and raised over $25,000. "Team Multiple MyeLlamas is participating in the Philadelphia 5K Walk/Run to honor Dave and all the incredible warriors battling this disease. We will come together to support and celebrate our heroes"
Dana Turasky Chicago
Dana and her sister Courtney participated and fundraised in the Chicago 5K to honor their mom who has been living with myeloma for 17 years. The sisters are motivated to fundraise because they have seen first hand what research and clinical trials can do. "The more research that's done gets us that much closer to a cure. I want so much for my mom to have a chance to be cancer free again. She's fighting, and we're racing for a cure." - Dana
