Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma (MM4MM) is an award wining collaboration between the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) and CURE Magazine to raise funds and awareness for myeloma research.

Teams of 16-20 are carefully selected to represent a microcosm of the myeloma community: patients, caregivers, family members and others with a direct connection to multiple myeloma.

Since 2016, Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma teams have climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, hiked the Grand Canyon, trekked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, summited Mount Fuji, explored the landscape of Iceland, and reached Everest Base Camp. Our team members have raised over $1.9 million, 90% of which goes directly to myeloma research. These amazing journeys were captured via blogs, social media posts, and video.

Now in its third year, the program will expand to exciting new challenges in 2019 - including the iconic Patagonia! Alumni hikers who have trekked with us before are welcome to apply to our 2019 Alumni Trek that will take on the "W" trek through Patagonia.

The MM4MM Patagonia Alumni trek will be the trip of a lifetime.  The team will traverse the famous "W" Circuit, forging over glaciers, through deep valleys and ascending incredible peaks.

This challenging and awe-inspiring five-day trek (ten days including travel) takes even novice climbers on a journey through the incredible landscape of Torres del Paine National Park.  This wonderland of mountains, valleys, lakes, rivers, glaciers and wildlife covers some 600,000 acres.  Hikers will travel hut to hut for five days on the "W" Circuit, so named for it's shape.

We are proud to partner once again with the experts at Embark Exploration, a US-based company and leader in world travel, who will connect us with a local guide service on this expedition as they have done for our Mt. Kilimanjaro and EBC treks.  Note that no special training or any technical climbing is required, though physical fitness is a must.
