Dear Family & Friends,

This coming March, I will be participating in the 2019 NYC Half Marathon as part of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) Team For Cures.

Multiple Myeloma is a disease that has deeply affected my family. As many of you know, my Dad was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma four and a half years ago. It has been a long battle, but I am proud to say my Dad is doing better than ever. I am forever grateful to the MMRF for supporting my Dad and for being such a positive influence in fighting this terrible disease.

I decided to sign up for the NYC Half to help play a role in the momentous effort to find a cure for Multiple Myeloma. As a lifelong swimmer, this 13.1 mile run may be challenging, but it will pale in comparison to what my Dad and other cancer survivors endure every day.

Multiple Myeloma is the second most common form of blood cancer and, though much progress has been made, Myeloma still has one of the lowest five-year relative survival rates of all cancers.

Please support my participation in the NYC Half Marathon benefiting the MMRF. I have made a commitment to raise at least $4,000, and I need your help to get there. Please contribute whatever you can. It all adds up!

Thanks for your support and JP Strong!!
