Thank you all for your kindness, support and encouragement. I am so touched at everyone's generosity. With your help, I was able to exceed my goal! Last I heard our team of runners raised over $60,000 for Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
The race was an amazing experience! I was nervous going into today, as I have been dealing with an injury but I was able to do it as a run/walk and finish in just under 3 hours.
The morning started early as you needed to get to Brooklyn to check in, go through security and be ready to be in your wave. I had a few friends to keep me company and it was a beautiful sunrise and a crisp cool morning.
The run was incredible, going through Brooklyn, over the Manhattan Bridge, through Chinatown, along the FDR Drive to the UN Building, down 42nd st to 7th ave, into Central Park and ending at Tavern on the Green. It was so scenic - what a way to see NYC!
I was able to spend time as I ran, remembering my mom, my dad and thinking of all your loved ones whose stories you have shared with me that they had been impacted by Multiple Myeloma or other cancers.
I feel so happy that through your support I was able to help the MMRF. They are an impressive organization with a great mission.
Thank you all!
