I will be participating in the 2017 IRONMAN Lake Placid on July 23, 2017 as part of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) Team For Cures.
My cousin Keith passed away in April 2015 after a 12 year long hard-fought battle with multiple myeloma. Keith was an amazing father, husband, and friend and was loved by many people. He had an incredible outlook on life and never failed to see the positive side of things. In his honor, I would like to complete a full Ironman, which will be a tremendous physical and mental challenge, but nothing compared to the challenges that Keith faced, and what current patients with muliple myeloma face.
The work ahead of me?
• Swim 2.4 miles
• Bike 112 miles
• Run 26.2 miles
The Goal: Raise $5,000 for the MMRF!
Multiple myeloma is the second most common form of blood cancer, but while there is no cure, great progress is being made towards this goal.
Please support my participation in the 2017 IRONMAN Lake Placid benefiting the MMRF. I have made a commitment to raise at least $5,000 for the MMRF, and I need your help to get there. Please contribute whatever you can. It all adds up!
Thank you so much,
