Mount Fuji Trek

Join the MMRF as we continue to expand our program to new heights... and depths with
the Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma (MM4MM) Program!
On July 16-21, nineteen MMRF hikers who have been specially selected to form the Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma Mount Fuji team will embark on an amazing experience. This team will travel half way around the world to tackle the highest peak in Japan, which reaches 12,289 feet. During this two-day hike, team members will sleep on tatami mats in a high-mountain hiking hut, waking hours before dawn to get back on the trail so that they can experience a stunning sunrise summit.

This team will be made up of multiple myeloma patients, caregivers, doctors, clinicians, nurses, and others connected to multiple myeloma. This is a powerful and life-changing experience as the team overcomes challenges, pushes beyond perceived limits, and honors loved ones and friends living with multiple myeloma. This MM4MM Team is LIVING PROOF that the work being done by the MMRF, Takeda Oncology, and our research partners is helping myeloma patients live longer and more active lives.

We are proudly working with The Walking Connection, a highly-regarded outdoor adventure company, that is planning and guiding the entire excursion for our team.

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsor, Takeda Oncology, the MMRF is able to underwrite most of the travel and trekking costs of the trip. Team members agree to raise a minimum of $5,000 per person.

Team members will be selected on their personal connection to multiple myeloma, enthusiasm for being part of the Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma team, and their interest in and ability to maximize fundraising.
