Anyone who had ever lost anyone to cancer knows the daily struggle.

Based in Vermont, the Mud Dux tri-club is about to take on their newest challenge - compete in the 2017 IRONMAN Mont Tremblant triathlon and raise $140,600 to benefit the MMRF.  Two of the three DUX on this mission have lost their mothers to cancer; one to ovarian cancer, another to bladder cancer. Which has nothing to do with Multiple Myeloma except that both are cancers.

But the MMRF has changed the model around cancer research. Typically, cancer is a grant funded business. Discoveries are held on to and not shared to to ensure another grant cycle so research can continue. The MMRF releases all findings to help fight all cancers and as a result other organizations are doing the same. The MMRF is changing the way cancer research is done.

This is why the Mud Dux have chosen to raise $1,000.00 per Ironman Mile in their quest to conquer the world-renowned IRONMAN Mont Tremblant. That's a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26.2 run. The trio is working to raise $140,600. Training for an IRONMAN is hard, but it is nothing compared to what cancer patients go through.
